How Carnia's auction works

The vehicle is presented at the lowest price the Lister will accept.

Seekers view the listing and bid (in $50 increments) to gain the Right of First Refusal --- meaning, the winning bidder gains access to the vehicle for 12 hrs. at the auction's close. Seekers can drive, inspect and even have a mechanic review the vehicle before purchase. The winning bid becomes part of the vehicles acquisition cost, HOWEVER... the bid is not included in the "sales price", with respect to sales tax calculation. On the auction site, be sure to note the auction's closing date and time. Providing your cell number at registration will insure you get details via text as the auction progresseses.

About Carnia

Carnia was created by a "car guy" with a side-hustle, who became frustrated with "all the work" required when marketing vehicles on Facebook and Craigslist. And in sharing his frustration he encountered, many people that said, "I'd never sell a car that way, ever!" -- particularly women. As someone who went to auctions often, he decided to test a hybrid system -- In contrast to an absolute auction, with its associated high-risk... why not create a "world" where zero buying obligation was created by being the high-bidder.Rather --- "winning" demonstrated only a willingness to purchase at a given price, if the information presented was accurate. In Carnia, people bid for the right to be the one who decides - after all the information is in-- do I want "this car"?Simple, hassle-free, clean and available to everyone.
